The Watsu Program at Galter LifeCenter
The Watsu Program at the Galter LifeCenter promotes health
and wellness within the general and medically diagnosed
populations. We are currently the
only Chicago provider of Watsu to specifically treat medical
diagnosis within our Complementary Medicine Program. During
a Watsu Session/Evaluation meaningful and therapeutic client-centered
assessments are administered. Therapeutic goals are created
and tailored to the individual's needs by a Licensed Occupational
Therapist with aquatic training in Watsu techniques. These
goals enhance health/wellness and quality of life for activities
of everyday living.
Watsu has been used within a general wellness population,
and as a measure to manage medical symptoms associated with
Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain, Sleep Disorders,
Orthopedic Disorders and other medical conditions.
Water is a natural place for healing
the body and mind; relieving the stress of chronic pain
symptoms, a stressful lifestyle or simply experiencing the
freedom of weightless movement and gentle stretches that
only the forgiving medium of warm water and Watsu Aquatic
Therapy can provide.
If you are interested in learning more about the therapeutic,
medical or wellness benefits of Watsu and/or would like
to schedule a Watsu Evaluation/Session please contact
